Sultan Taylor joins Ormiston Families as a Trustee, bringing a wealth of leadership experience across health, social care, policing, and community service. He is currently Vice Chair of Provide Community, an award-winning, employee-owned Community Interest Company delivering health and social care services across Essex, East Anglia, and other parts of the UK. Sultan joined Provide in 2020 as a Non-Executive Director and has played a key role in strengthening governance, collaboration, and community-focused service delivery.

Before transitioning into health and social care governance, Sultan had a distinguished 33-year career as a senior police officer. His work included close partnership with mental health trusts and local communities, focusing on safeguarding, wellbeing, and prevention. As Borough Commander for Havering, Ealing, and Barking & Dagenham, he improved community confidence. He has a strong record of community engagement and fundraising, supporting initiatives such as the Commissioner’s Christmas Tree gifts for children, the Jack Brown appeal for children with neuroblastoma, several cancer charities, and a wide range of community organisations.
Sultan is recognised for his integrity, collaborative leadership style, and deep commitment to improving outcomes for children, families, and vulnerable communities. His experience, insight, and passion for public service make him an asset to Ormiston Families and its mission.
